Easy to set up. Switch on and hold for 3 secs remote button on stick. Battery already insitu so no need to open remote. Open phone settings, go to Bluetooth, look for available devices, u should see Blukar selfie stick press this to pair, it takes seconds to connect.....then u good to go, done and ready to use.
Just to mention when u go into Bluetooth it flashes up that u need an "app" to use/connect selfie stick. U don't, mine just paired straightaway.
I have an Samsung s10+, the stick held my phone... felt sturdy. In the selfie stick the phone can be rotated portrait to landscape and anything in between. The phone can also be tilted forward or backward. I didn't have any issues with the volume button on my phone causing the picture to zoom in......as some other reviews reported. Don't know if this is cos my phone is quite large and the clamp is no where near the volume button.
For subsequent uses don't just switch it on and expect it to work immediately. Just check the Bluetooth is connected in settings on your phone. Its already paired so u don't need to do anything else. It only takes seconds to do this
I like the drawstring bag the stick comes with, a nice touch to keep it in your bag.
The only criticism i could have is that I think its a bit more bulky than other selfie sticks out there when compacted down. See photo. But it's not enough for me to detract a star. I give it 5 stars.
I looked and read many reviews of selfie sticks on amazon and prices ranged from £4 to £150.
This is an absolute bargain at £7.99.
I used mine on family day out. Its lightweight. I was very impressed. 😀😀😀😀😀

This is my second review. I gave 5 stars for the first review, but I have since changed it to 1 star. After using the selfie stick for around 6 weeks I have encountered two frustrating issues. Firstly, the remote control has stopped working completely. I have changed the batteries twice and still it does not work. Additionally, the tightening screw that holds the phone in position is now gradually losing grip/strength. This results in my iphone either tilting forwards or backwards hence making the selfie stick frustrating unusable.
The return period has just passed by about a week and now I'm stuck with an usuable piece of plastic. Extremely disappointing!!!

I honestly hadn't had the highest hopes for this, however I needed a stick to take my phone high enough to take photos of a fault on my property that I couldn't reach by ladder alone.
Having taken the required video, I decided to try the remote that comes with it. It's very basic and simple to use, there's just a button to press and your camera will take a photo after it's paired with your device.
It worked absolutely fine, I probably won't make much use of it for taking selfies, but if that's what you need it for, you shouldn't have any problems.
The selfie stick comes with a black fabric (this looks water repellant) drawstring pouch with the Blukar name emblazoned to carry your stick, 2 screw on attachments, for using with a phone or camera, a mini bluetooth remote control to take pictures, which incidentally fits into the stick when it's carried around but can be removed for use, and according to the leaflet can be used up to 10m away from the phone/camera, and lastly a spare battery for the remote control. The stick can also just be used as a tripod, however the black plastic feet don't look the sturdiest, so I would probably only use carefully indoors as a tripod, or at least on flat surfaces.
I'm very pleased that I bought this, although it would never normally have occurred to me to buy a selfie stick; using the 74cm tripod on another surface for height (as taking pictures of people from that low angle will not be flattering), it will probably come in quite handy.

So, I needed a selfie stick to make a few videos for a well known streaming site, I thought I'd try this one as it seemed to have quite a few nice attributes I wanted.

I didn't even realise that it had a remote control to allow you to take photo's and also start videos at the press of a button, having this assigned to my phone via blue tooth was a breeze, and after attaching my phone I was good to go, now there is no gimble so the phone has to have and perform the stabilisation side, but this is so good.

It extends 4 times, and certainly offered me the distance I needed to have, it can pan and tilt as well, the stand, well I've not used it, but it is built into the handle, so it might be good to others that might make use of that side.

If you're after a cheap and well made selfie stick, then certainly give this one a try, I think it is great for the price.

It also comes with a spare battery.

On first use the remote control which sends bluetooth communication to camera stopped working (it had worked when I first set it up). Also the nut into which you screw the finger bolt to hold a go-pro or indeed the phone holder fell off without me realising it - I have lost it now and the stick is useless without it - on every other fitting have seen the bolt is firmly attached.
